Abbott's medical device division in Malaysia operates a world-class manufacturing facility in Bayan Lepas, Penang, which serves as the company's only site in Asia for producing life-saving cardiac pacing devices. The plant specializes in high-tech Class III devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), and cardiac monitors for both regional and global markets.
